I want to do the Rickshaw Run...

...or the Mongol Rally, hell I'd even try the Ice Run. What's this all about? The Adventurists run by the The League of Adventurists International Ltd, a UK based company, aim to not only make the world a less boring place, but also raise money for charities. They basically have come up with a handful of creative adventures that include the Mongol Rally which has a starting and ending point in Mongolia, but the 10,000 miles in between are up to you and your team. The Rickshaw Run that traverses 3,500 km of India over the course of two weeks, in a rickshaw.

Hood River, Oregon is an adventure town with a focus on outdoor recreation and the consistent winds on the Columbia River Gorge have drawn kiteboarders and windsurfers for years. If you need other recreational options, there is year round skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Hood, mountain biking, kayaking and rafting. Or you can chill on the beach at the waterfront and watch all the action on the water, hang out in town and have few brews at the Full Sail Brewery, or sip some wine at one of the many wineries. There is definitely plenty to keep you occupied for a season or more.

This all started when we needed to move out of our house for the summer. Since we had tired of modern conveniences like running water, indoor plumbing, ovens, and room to move, we decided to convert a 10'x6' cargo trailer into our new home. The plan pretty much boiled down to doing it as inexpensively as possible, to make it far cheaper than paying rent.
